Every year I look forward to MTV's Video Music Awards. This year by far has been the most entertaining. It was in early September and its still on my mind. I heard a few things about the 09' VMA's that I thought were interesting. Like when Green Day decided in rehearsal to treat the crew/staff with some classic songs while they worked their sleepless tails off getting ready for the show. One of the crew members said that everyone just stopped working during a complete chaotic time to listen. Also, Billie Joe decided to bring all the fans on stage to make for an even better performace and one of his biggest fans, Pete Wentz of the Falls out Boys, was right there next to him in the middle of everyone. Bringing all the fans on stage was not at all planned and for awhile you couldnt even see Billie Joe but then of course, he was lifted up to do a little crowd surfing and finish the song. that was really cool to watch.
I also learned that Taylor Swift recorded her Subway performance a few months before the VMA's and they were afraid she wasn't going to finish her performance due to the great Kanye West and his hurtful remark.
You would have thought while Pink was flying from a trapeze that she was lip singing "Sober" But she was in fact singing live flying through the air. Thats talent. Im starting to like her more and more. "
I did enjoy Madonnas tribute to Michael Jackson, althought it should have been titled 'A tribute to Michael Jackson and Myself'
And I thought Janet did a great job dancing on stage. You could tell there was some emotion in her performance, but it could have just been her old age catching up to her.
my last thoughts......A recap of the 2009 VMA's could be put in a few words
"Think before you speak or act" and that would be for Kanye, Little Mama and the host, Russell Brand.
I realize most of my blog readers arent really interested in this topic. But I wanted to get it out of my head and share it with who ever wants to read it.

Lately I have been trying to spend as much time with Cruz as possible. I dont know what its going to be like with two , but I do know my time and energy will have to go toward the baby when she comes.

I have also been working on getting the house finished. Our friends have been helping out so much. It takes me so long to finish projects these days. My belly just seems to get in the way.

Dale has been working really hard and has been recovering from having his wisdom teeth removed.

Thats all I can say for now...

Dale gave Cruz a hair cut

I told Cruz I wanted to take a picture of him in his boots and he walked all the way over to the opposite side of the room so I could take a picture.

Cruz built and painted a race car, he wore his handy Home Depot apron while working.

We built a fort on his bed, he loves when I try to squeeze in there. I usually stay awhile because it takes so much effort to get in and out.

Dale and Josh worked on the kitchen floors and MJ and the kids brought over some yummy chilli, we ate in the babies room while our kitchen is out of service.

34 weeks

This is what the past few weeks have looked like for me...

watched the backyard flood

tried to get rid of the paint smell in my house

washed dishes by hand ...again

got motivated to fix a dripping faucet in my bathroom

replaced the faucet in my bathroom

now getting motivated to fix the problem with my kitchen faucet

ate ice cream at night

ate ice cream during the day

missed Dale

watched my butt get bigger

looked at all the things that need to be done to our house

tried not to think about all the things that need to be done to our house

put my hair in a pony tail!

We have been working on our new home before we move in. So we have been busy , busy, busy. I dont have time for a detailed update. Sorry the pics are not exactly in order. But here are some before pics. And I posted a glimpse of the after pics. But I dont want to post too many right now, I will wait until it is completely finished.

Also, we are so blessed with our friends and family. You all have been a huge help. We have never felt so loved. THANKS!!!!

Tuesday Aug 4th

Today we closed on our house. I was expecting to sign a paper, then someone hand me the keys in one hand and shake my other hand while the local newspaper took a picture. But that didn't happen. I signed a huge stack of papers and didn't get the keys yet, but I should soon. We are so excited to start working on our house. It needs some work!! We plan to move in by the 15th of Aug.

Also, Im 7 months pregnant today

Cruz update

Cruz is always counting to 10 when he is playing. Although he usually forgets 8 for some reason.
He is also saying his ABC's.....well, it sounds like the alphabet song but he makes up words for the letters he doesn't know and then says "LMNOP". Im so proud of him.
He loves to fall down and make people laugh too. Its so cute.
He loves building ramps for his cars to go down. He tells me about super man and spider man and how they can move a bus or a firetruck. ( he has never seen either movie, I think boys were born already knowing about the two superheros). He tells me I look cute if I am wearing something other than workout clothes or pj's. He tells Daddy before leaving for work "Dont forget your sandwich" He asks for a popsicle at least 5 times a day. He is so sweet. And I am enjoying watching him grow into this loving, sweet and funny little boy.

A few things

First of all, Something that has been on my mind alot lately ( besides Reese Peanut Butter Cups) is Michael Jackson. I have been reading, seeing ( even though we do not currently have TV) his face, his life, his story everywhere. I have so many different opinions on Michael Jackson. He had so many different phases. But everytime I make a judgment about him. I say to myself "he is human" All the cool, creative, weird, nasty, creepy things he did...He is still human. And it really has changed my thoughts about people. Mostly, People that have hurt me. I just deleted about 3 paragraphs of my thoughts on this. So I dont really know what else to say other than MJ has some really great songs and dance moves. And I am going to remember that about him.

One last thought: Cruz climbed out of his bed today for the first time. Yikes!!!!
